Predicting Future Diameter Distributions Given Current Stand Attributes

چکیده

This study discussed four methods to project a diameter distribution from age A1 A2. Method 1 recovers parameters of the at A2 stand attributes that age. 2 uses stand-level model grow quadratic mean diameter, and then prediction. 3 grows by assuming tree-level survival growth functions. 4 first converts into list individual trees before growing these A2.
In numerical example employing Weibull distribution, produced better results based on two types error indices relative predictive for each class. is novel method individual-trees, in process, successfully links together individual-tree, whole models.

Relationship between Modelling Accuracy and Inflection Point Attributes of Several Equations while Modelling Stand Diameter Distributions

In this study, seven popular equations, including 3-parameter Weibull, 2-parameter Weibull, Gompertz, Logistic, Mitscherlich, Korf and R distribution, were used to model stand diameter distributions for exploring the relationship between the equations' inflection point attributes and model accuracy. A database comprised of 146 diameter frequency distributions of Chinese fir (Cunninghamia lanceo...

Modeling Current and Future Potential Distributions of Caspian Pond Turtle (Mauremys caspica) under Climate Change Scenarios

Although turtles are the most threatened taxonomic group within the reptile class, we have a very limited understanding of how turtles respond to climate change. Here, we evaluated the effects of climate changes on the geographical distribution of Caspian pond turtle (Mauremys caspica). We used an ensemble approach by combining six species distribution models including artificial neural network...

Predicting species distributions: use of climatic parameters in BIOCLIM and its impact on predictions of species’ current and future distributions

Bioclimatic models are widely used tools for assessing potential responses of species to climate change. One commonly used model is BIOCLIM, which summarises up to 35 climatic parameters throughout a species’ known range, and assesses the climatic suitability of habitat under current and future climate scenarios. A criticism of BIOCLIM is that the use of all 35 parameters may lead to over-fitti...

Diameter Two Graphs of Minimum Order with Given Degree Set

The degree set of a graph is the set of its degrees. Kapoor et al. [Degree sets for graphs, Fund. Math. 95 (1977) 189-194] proved that for every set of positive integers, there exists a graph of diameter at most two and radius one with that degree set. Furthermore, the minimum order of such a graph is determined. A graph is 2-self- centered if its radius and diameter are two. In this paper for ...

Predicting maximum branch diameter from crown dimensions, stand characteristics and tree species

Forest resource inventories must include wood quality information to support the optimum use of wood fibre. The objective of this study was to develop models relating maximum live branch diameter (MBD), which affects lumber value, to tree and stand characteristics that can be measured through current and emerging remote sensing technologies. Using non-linear mixed effects models for six Canadia...
